¹⁹ 就 如 經 上 所 記 ： 我 要 滅 絕 智 慧 人 的 智 慧 ， 廢 棄 聰 明 人 的 聰 明 。

 

What it means is:  Truth cannot be obtained by intellect or smart alone.  It has to come down from GRACE.  Grace can only come down from intuition.

²⁰ 智 慧 人 在 那 裏 ？ 文 士 在 那 裏 ？ 這 世 上 的 辯 士 在 那 裏 ？ 神 豈 不 是 叫 這 世 上 的 智 慧 變 成 愚 拙 麽 ？

 

Truth cannot be obtained by intellectual analysis or debate.  Social knowledge is useless when it comes to sacred wisdom or grace.  Rather, one must deplete his earthly knowledge in order to know truth.

 

²¹ 世 人 憑 自 己 的 智 慧 ， 既 不 認 識 神 ， 神 就 樂 意 用 人 所 當 作 愚 拙 的 道 理 ， 拯 救 那 些 信 的 人 ； 這 就 是 神 的 智 慧 了 。

 

Again, he said that man cannot use his ego's intellect, knowledge or analysis to know TRUTH.  Wisdom is more accessible to whoever has more faith and less human knowledge.
