它比羅馬教廷創建要早幾百年。大約130-250AD。 它是更正宗的耶穌語錄。後麵四部福音是經過羅馬教廷在康斯但丁堡的會議後修改而成。把不符合教會的東西刪除，隻留符合的東西。雖然這樣，托馬斯福音和後來的LUKE, MATTHEW等等相似之處是很明顯的。托馬斯說的更清楚，對弟子說”你們就是LIVING FATHER的兒子”，而不像四部中說單單耶穌是LIVING FATHER的兒子。 羅馬教廷就是要造成一個印象，上帝和普通人是分開的，這樣教廷才有控製教民的權利。 耶穌沒說錯“我是LIVING FATHER的兒子。 耶穌也沒說錯“你們也是LIVING FATHER的兒子。 但當你隻看到第一句話，你自動以為“耶穌是兒子，我不是”。但你看到了第二句話，你知道了，大家都是LIVING FATHER的兒子。 這個LIVING FATHER就是密布一切，穿越一切的大我。 我們再看看耶穌在托馬斯福音第3節怎麽說的吧: (3) Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father.
