Who told you after reunification, you can no longer freely travel to the 40 countries?

Your excuse is no good. HK is richer than TW, and HK passports are more widely accepted than TW passports. But after they get reunified, they lose nothing, and can even get mainland financial support to overcome financial crisis.

And don't forget, with mainland's support,you TW people can even travel to more countries (those who allow no-visa entry from mainland China) than the 40 you have now. In the 1990 Iraqi war,your TW passport was no good at all, and TW tourists had to ask Chinese embassy for protection and then left Kuwait! So what will you lose?
