古舊十架

第一次聽到《古舊十架》這首歌是由一位街頭藝人用蘇格蘭風笛演奏，那是在蘇格蘭的愛丁堡城市的王子大街上。娓娓動聽的旋律在蘇格蘭風笛的演奏下顯得格外深沉，還帶著一絲蒼涼，引起我這位初到異國的遊子心中莫名感動。那時，我傻傻地站在那位街頭藝人的麵前，一直到他將樂曲演奏完。從此，這首歌的曲調就沉澱在了我的腦海中。然而，直到一年多後來到美國，我才知道它的曲名和歌詞，《古舊十架》（ The Old Rugged Cross ）。曲調與文字同時一起進入腦海，那是更加深刻的感受。

第二次在大街上聽到街頭藝人演奏這首曲子則是在挪威的Bergen。位於挪威西南海岸的 Bergen市是著名音樂家Edvard Grieg出生和成長的地方。我們全家是慕名而訪的。沒有想到在那裏也聽到了我所喜愛的這首歌。象多年前第一次聽到它一樣，我一直聽到這位街頭藝人將樂曲演奏完。他用的不是蘇格蘭風笛，而是手風琴。那時，年僅10歲的女兒也能靜靜地陪伴在我的身邊將之聽完。

在美國多年的生活使我了解到《古舊十架》是一首在複活節經常唱的詩歌。無論在何時、何地聽到這首歌，我都會想起第一次聽到它的情景和感受。這首歌對我的心靈有安靜的作用，也給我帶來屬天的盼望。
