美國南北戰爭結束後，白種的愛爾蘭人跟有色人種一樣，依然備受歧視，然而、也跟有色人種一樣，繼續通過傳媒、政治組織而不平則鳴。曆史證明、美國有言論自由，與絕大多數美國人敢於、善於行使言論自由同樣重要、必要。與其說、言論自由是雙刃刀劍，倒不如說、言論自由就如財富。財富不是萬能，但是沒有財富卻是萬萬不能。
