【母親節】混血兒母親：香港續篇

上回說到、母親所以不成為孤兒，就因為有原本是保姆的阿娘。廣東話：‘’親娘唔及養娘大‘’。

母親繼續講她的故事：

我不忍立即拋下阿娘回美國本鄉去，因此決定留在中國。我的少女腦袋裏，中國早不是異國了。一往情深地相信文革已被革去了，中國開放了，人民有自由染各種顏色的頭發了，形勢真正的大好。不然，為什麽老外們如蟻附膻地跑來中國？荷裏活（好萊塢）的大明星也爭著到長城為中國、更為自己宣傳。美國又鬧著中國熱。中國是全世界的寵兒。我還有理由撇下阿娘跑回美國去嗎？可是，當我給阿娘坦言以上的心底話後，她隻是微笑，輕輕吐出一句廣東話：“你真係個傻豬女嚟嘅。”傻豬女？不懂事的娃娃？她點頭，隨即再補上這一個字：跑！為什麽還要跑呢？誰知阿娘不讓寸步，四個堅持：跑跑跑跑。

於是，十六歲考上了大學的我，選擇參加了一項中美交換學生計劃，到美國伊利諾伊州〝勤工儉學〞去了。〝十年人事幾番新〞。差不多十年後，我重臨舊地。原來是第一故鄉的美國成了第二故鄉，原來是第一語言的英語成了第二語言。在美國讀大學時、我又給自己一項重大任務：保證阿娘可以安享晚年。於是、我申請在兩年內完成四年的大學課程，批了。

十八歲那年、我拿了一個榮譽社會科學學士(Honor Degree of Bachelor in Social Sciences)銜頭回中國去，開始了我的全職打工生涯。僥倖地，工作算是順利。不過，阿娘又提出她的四項堅持來。不得已，我隻好跟她妥協，成功申請調職到香港去。同時，通過種種不宜詳說的人事關係，給阿娘搞了個離境赴港的“單程證”。於是，阿娘就跟我住在香港。早上，我和阿娘一起上〝茶樓〞〝飲茶〞，〝歎一蠱兩件〞(廣東話：喝茶、吃茶點)。〝飲茶〞後、阿娘喜歡到〝榕樹頭〞(一個地名)去逛逛，跟老鄉們談天說地。看見阿娘開心的樣子，我不禁又在心裏感激上帝了。
