 Yes, it's weired. Unless he knew your rough age, based on the age of your children ? your working experience? The year you graduated from college? Your title/seniority in the company? or other reference? Otherwise,  how did he know that you don't just look young, but you are really young? How did he know your age may be even younger than your appearence?
