My hu*****and returned from his trip mid-week amid our poor son's fever spell. Not sure whether he brought the germ home from his trip or he got it from our son, poor Daddy had not been feeling well since shortly after his return. As for Saturday night dinner, he only had appetite for something simple. So we decided on a Vietnamese Pho place. Nothing can be simpler than that!
This was probably our third time here in my memory. Just be aware, though, that good memory is not exactly my forte. The exterior is ordinary and simple..
Inside was an imposing counter painted red, which left me a lasting impression the very first time we were here..
You should be able to tell a little shrine high up on the wall, very typical of Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai restaurants.
This table setting should give you an idea in terms of the kind of place this is - perhaps only a notch above a fast food joint but often a good indicator of authenticity. The service was pretty prompt as well.
We did not order much, one Pho for each..
No need to take pictures of two bowls of Pho, since they looked pretty similar :-). The broth was light, which suited us very well. I think I finished pretty much the whole bowl!
The dinner cost less than $20 including tips. Nothing beats that value!
It has a 3.5 star rating on Yelp. I forgot to ask my hu*****and, but I would go with Yelp's rating on this one.
No time for any pictures of my outfits this week. Not to deviate from the formula of this series laid out in my opening blog, here are two outfits, with white pants being the common theme, from a couple of weeks back.
#1 - peasant top with a white Capri . My beloved sandals again, too comfy to be left in the box :-). Most recently I wore this pair of sandals shopping with my Mom, and I was on that heel for almost 6 hours without getting my feet hurt!
#2 - my dress style early in my professional life was more along this line. As companies get smaller, my dress code gets more and more casual :-). However, I am now inching back a little towards that style.
That's it for this time. Thank you and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
