- Vacaville outlet, about 15 minute drive north of Travis AFB.
- Union Square, park at Pleasant Hill BART, take BART and get off at Mongomery station in San Francisco

You could go on for sightseeing on public transportation, but be prepared to walk a lot as well. If driving, parking is a big issue in downtown SF, otherwise not horrible. If driving during a weekday, be prepared to spend hours during the rush hour.
