I called him to see the pictures. Guess what, he asked me first thing:" Is this a boy or a girl?" then he told me:" No, no, no, it can't be a boy! It is a girl!" Just to let you know he just turned 9 last month and enrolled in a school with about 30% asian population.
Although people say all these dare to be different thing, but let themself to be different on their own term. Don't dress little kids in a way that will bring them confusion and unanted attention. American kids dress in American way is the norm. Even from a biological stand point, the organisms that do not fit into the norm are the ones most likely to be picked on by its own kind and inviting trouble for themselves.
Do an experiment yourself:
Get a flock of chickens and randomly just pick one, pluck its feather off or paint it into an odd color or something then release it back into the flock and see what will happen. Your will see the price this little bird pay for being different.
