The American coot (mud hen) 是鴨是雞還是鳥

去年看見這家夥，平時都沒見到過，而且就一隻，追著拍到了些，後來問了朋友才知這是American coot。看到這麽一句The American coot (mud hen) is a bird of the family Rallidae. Google的翻譯是黑鴨，泥母雞。是鴨是雞還是鳥呢？從我拍的視頻裏看，眼是紅色的，體型小，但很霸道，都敢挑逗比它大的鴨子。
