午睡
一隻看上去很疲憊的狗來到我的後院，我從它的脖子上掛著的狗牌和它的毛色和身材知道它應是一頭有主人並被喂養得很好的狗。
它靜靜地走向我，我友好地撫摸拍打它的頭，它就跟隨著我進了房子，它走到大廳的一角，卷曲著身軀就睡著了。
一小時後，它起來要離開，我讓它走了……
第二天，它又出現在我的院子和我打招呼，然後走進我的房子，在前一天它曾睡過的地方又小睡了一小時，然後離開。如此往複，它一連好幾星期到我家睡午覺了。
出於好奇，我把一張紙條釘在它的狗牌上，我在紙上寫到：我很想知道誰是這隻安靜可愛的狗的主人，不知你知不知道它幾乎每天下午都到我家裏睡上個午覺。

Afternoon Naps
An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.
He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out..
The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks.
Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'
The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar: 'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?'
