夏日最後的玫瑰
夏日最後的玫瑰 這是夏日最後的玫瑰， 獨自綻放著， 所有昔日動人的同伴 都已凋落殘逝。 身旁沒有同類的花朵， 沒有半個玫瑰苞， 映襯她的紅潤， 分擔她的憂愁。 我不會離開孤零零的你， 讓你孤單地憔悴， 既然美麗的同伴都已入睡， 去吧！你也和她們一起躺著。 為此，我撒落一些 葉子在花床上 那兒，也是你花園的同伴 無聲無息躺著的地方。 不久我也可能追隨朋友而去， 當友誼漸逝， 像從燦爛之愛情圈中 掉落的寶石。 當忠誠的友人遠去， 所愛的人飛走， 啊！誰還願留在 這寒冷的世上獨自淒涼？
The Last Rose of Summer
'Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone,
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.
No flower of her kindred,
No rose bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.
I'll not leave thee, thou lone one,
To pine on the stem,
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves o'er the bed
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
And from Love's shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?
