月亮之河，寬逾一裏

吾自旖旎，渡河有日

洛神有夢，心為之碎

河欲何往，亦趨亦隨

成雙飄零，揚帆入世

入世環顧，目不暇接

虹影闌珊，水光流轉

曲意久候，遊子故人

鄉有越橘，鄉有佳河

月亮河轉，吾夢歸來

moon river, wider than a mile

i'm crossing you in style some day

oh, dream maker, your heart breaker

wherever you're going, i'm going your way

two drifters, off to see the world

注：個人以為，歌詞裏兩個人的那個伴侶，可能是一個人，也可能是月亮河。作者孤獨，把月亮河看做出世入世的精神伴侶，使得自己的人生旅途有所寄托。要是按照這個角度看，全首歌詞和“詩經 秦風 蒹葭”一脈相承，又是一個“伊人”虛虛實實的經典。
