何處望神州？滿眼風光北固樓。千古興亡多少事？悠悠！不盡長江滾滾流。

年少萬兜鍪，坐斷東南戰未休。天下英雄誰敵手？曹劉！生子當如孫仲謀。

All in my eyes is Beigu Tower's scenery,

As if the Yangtze River flushing eastwards, endless.

When was young, he was leading the army,

Seized the southeast, resisted rivals, never yielded.

Heroes under the heaven, who could become  his  enemy?

Cao and Liu!

白話譯文

什麽地方可以看見中原呢？在北固樓上，滿眼都是美好的風光。從古到今，有多少國家興亡大事呢？不知道。往事連綿不斷，如同沒有盡頭的長江水滾滾地奔流不息。

當年孫權在青年時代，做了三軍統帥。他能占據東南，堅持抗戰，沒有向敵人低頭和屈服過。天下英雄誰是孫權的敵手呢？隻有曹操和劉備而已。這樣也就難怪曹操說：“要是能有個孫權那樣的兒子就好了！”[5]
