Roll up frosty window shades at dawn,
Warming her hands, 
Makeup in Plum-flower style, she tries on.
        
Feeling melancholy `cause he is no longer around, 
She draws her eyebrows, like mountain ranges, long. 
               
Sorrow spins through her as she looks back at life,  
The good old days are all gone. 
         
She wants to sing a song, yet she hesitates,
She wants to smile, yet she frowns,     
For her heart is bleeding, being whipsawn.

清晨簾幕卷輕霜，嗬手試梅妝。都緣自有離恨，故畫作遠山長。
思往事，惜流芳。易成傷。擬歌先斂，欲笑還顰，最斷人腸。
