換中央空調

美東九十年代初的房子, 中央空調一直沒有換過, 現在起動後, 屋裏也不覺得涼快, 考慮是不是該換新的了. 房子4千尺左右, 現有兩套AC, 樓下4 噸, 樓上2 噸, 找了二三家公司詢價.  大公司要 2萬出頭, 中國人的小公司隻要1 萬左右, 價格相差1 倍. 

大公司的報價裏包括換管道 (install a new lineset refrigeration pipe from the new outdoor condenser to the new indoor air handler; install Line Hide pipe shroud on the exterior of the house to conceal the refrigeration pipe,. Fabricate and install new transition fittlings connecting the new air handler to the existing duct work); 小公司說管道沒壞就不用換; 大公司隻用LENNOX, 小公司還可以選擇其他牌子, 象是TRANE, CARRIER等.

我的問題是我們1)是不是應該換AC; 2) 是不是應該連管道一起換了; 3)什麽牌子比較好, 是不是LENNOX; 4) 選擇多少SEER的AC? 是不是應該16以上? 謝謝大家!
