不過，要比較Gore和Bush，Bush的國內政策不是極右派。抓教育，宣揚compansionate conservatism，屬於右派中的實幹溫和派。國防上是激進派。但當時的選舉國防根本就不受重視。

相比，Gore比較激進，也太輕敵，以為經濟那麽好，沒有不選上的道理。
