nobody likes bad news

War isn't really a solution. And US military has no power against its own citizen (this is where US$ bull don't understand when they think US military is the key of US currency. actually it is not any more).

Sure, they can use wars to transfer some problem oversea, however whenever there is a failure in those wars, that is when US government collapses.
