Chinese passport renewal - Help needed !!

Hi,

Anyone knows what documents are required for passport renewal?  The official Chinese consulate web site does not contain any info on that. Called them and no line works except for the voice prompt that led me to nowhere.  I have to fly to Huston to renew my passport, so I really have to know what to prepare.  Any help will be appreciated!!

Also, based on my residence location, I should go to Huston. But since I will travel to NY recently. Will there be any issue that I request the passport renewal in NY Consulate General?
