怎麽辦呢？

今天一同事興衝衝的給看一張她兒子的照片（2歲），然後開始等我的反應。我趕快說"wow, cute, so cute"。她有些失望，指我看旁邊 (a big "Hooters" sign)，原來她老公帶她2歲兒子去美女restaurant, which is supposed to be improper，我的反應應該是吃驚，我隻覺得跟性有點關係 (hooter sounds like hooker, but not sure about what hooter is)，不知道該怎樣回答，沉默。。embarassing silence...。你們這種不知背景的情況怎麽辦?
