旋律好聽的話，會拿歌詞來補英語聽力。剛好Eagles重出江湖不久，就拿他們的歌來囫圇吞棗了。這個94年版的加州旅館，吉他前奏和結尾的Solo都是超棒，現在的流行樂壇顯得反而不會用樂器了。
比較深的感觸是隱喻，比如：Tifanny-twisted, Mercedes-Benz （Bends）等等。美國人大多性格開朗，但對話中會有不少玩笑般的隱喻，不撕開臉皮說破，就像漢語裏用帶故事的成語來表達。“不在餐桌上，就在菜單裏”大抵上也是這個意思。
可笑的是，當時怎麽也發不好Mercedes這個詞，三個e各發各音。
