中國古代刺青很流行的

唐朝時就開始接受，民間不再視紋身為蠻夷之舉。到宋代大行其道，民間愛好者眾多，武將更是喜愛，還有犯人臉上刺上被發配之地，可見刺青在那時已經是相當成熟的技術。嶽飛的後背上刺有精忠報國我覺得可能性很大，但多半是自己找人刺的，而不是母親給刺的。
