Canada has one of the most active and evolving UBI movements globally, driven by grassroots advocacy, pilot experiments, political champions, and recent federal interest. While no full national UBI exists yet, the country has seen multiple pilots, parliamentary motions, provincial proposals, and now Bill S-206 (2025) — the closest to a national framework.
