To be admitted to the New York bar, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- NYLE: Pass the New York Law Exam (NYLE)
- Skills form affidavit: Submit proof of meeting the Skills Competency and Professional Values requirement
- Law school: Complete at least one year of law school
- Law office: Complete at least three years of study in a New York law office
- Moral character: Provide certification of good moral character
- Application: Apply for eligibility to take the bar exam
- MPRE: Pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE)
- NYLC: Complete the New York Law Course (NYLC)
