We are empty netted too and we also have very different political views. We don't talk about politics much, but when we do I try to talk about facts only and support my claims with solid evidences. She is often convinced by my evidences but reserves her opinions. She once bought some Chinsese stocks and at my advice, she sold them and avoided losses. We are financially independent and no worries in this aspect if we separate now. She trusts me a lot and wants me to give her advice/guidance on just about everything and relies on me to manage family finance. She works very hard but her knowledge is very narrow. She has very limited social life and most her friends come from my side. I, on the other hand, wish to have a partner who can inspire/teach/challege me interlectually.
