Little poppies, little hell flames，美麗的罌粟花花瓶，在路上，暑假開始了。

我喜歡罌粟花，是因為讀了普拉斯的詩

Little poppies, little hell flames,

Do you do no harm?

 

You flicker. I cannot touch you.

I put my hands among the flames. Nothing burns.

 

And it exhausts me to watch you

Flickering like that, wrinkly and clear red, like the skin of a mouth.

 

A mouth just bloodied.

Little bloody skirts!

 

There are fumes that I cannot touch.

·Where are your opiates, your nauseous capsules?

 

If I could bleed, or sleep!

If my mouth could marry a hurt like that!

 

Or your liquors seep to me, in this glass capsule,

Dulling and stilling.

But colorless. Colorless.

 

有一天，到農場去買雞蛋，遠遠看到了盛開的火紅的罌粟花，

“太美了，不一樣的美”我在心中感歎，

從那天開始，罌粟花就長在了心裏。

買了幾株種到花園，卻不見花開。

沒有鮮豔的罌粟花兒裝扮美麗花瓶，

等待明年吧！
