From June 1 to 15, BBC World News plays the Guangzhou promo video on its North America and Europe channel, displaying the city's beauty, energy, openness and amity as an international metropolis for audiences.
It is said that Guangzhou will hold the roadshows for 2017 Fortune Global Forum in Chicago, Munich and London this month. The video, named "Guangzhou, Flower City in Bloom", showcases an artistic, international and high-tech Guangzhou with beautiful environment and happy life, can bring audiences closer to the city.
BBC World News is the BBC's commercially funded international 24-hour news and information channel, broadcast in English in more than 200 countries and territories across the globe. Available in more than 430 million homes, 110 million are from North America and 132 million are from 44 European countries.
Hence, it is believed that Guangzhou's city image can reach various overseas audiences with its promo video played on BBC.
The organizing committee of 2017 Fortune Global Forum is established and the conference date is confirmed - Dec. 6 to 8. At present, CEOs or chairmans from Fortune Global 500 Companies including Cisco, Walmart, Huawei, etc, are to attend the conference.
In 2017, Guangzhou has held overseas roadshows for the forum in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Washington DC, Tokyo and Singapore. Besides, a series of promotion conferences were held on international business events such as Winter Davos Forum, Boao Forum for Asia and Guangzhou International Investment Conference, which helped to attract global political and business leaders to the 2017 Fortune Global Forum.

The 30-second promo video features the beauty, energy, openness and amity of international metropolis Guangzhou through a series of Guangzhou elements, including city flower kapok, world-renowned landmark building Canton Tower, Pazhou Complex, and Nansha Port.
