女孩的27歲的叔叔受到指控。探案人員在女孩居住的家中執行搜查令後,將其逮捕。
Police have charged a man with the murder of a Chinese international student whose body was discovered floating face down in a blowhole on the NSW central coast last weekend.
Michelle Leng, 25, was reported missing by her family on Anzac Day after it was claimed she failed to return to her Campsie home from a shopping trip four days earlier.
On Friday afternoon, NSW homicide detectives arrested a 27-year-old man, who police said was known to Ms Leng, at Campsie Police Station. He was later charged with her murder.
It is believed the man is Ms Leng's uncle, who she lived with in Campsie, along with her aunt and cousin.
He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
His arrest came after detectives executed a crime scene warrant on the family's Campsie home on Friday afternoon.
Ms Leng's body was discovered by a tourist at the Snapper Point blowhole at the Lake Munmorah National Park at around 10:30am on Sunday.
