I don't think so.

Japan has lost its chance to be a  super power forever, I think Japanese know it.

The best solution is China and Japan join hands and work together to form a 東亞共榮圈.   China is in the driver seat in order for that to happen and China needs Japan if China wants to achieve its ambision.   

But I don't see it is happening.
