Both the DPP and current NPC lack of long term version

about the future of people in Taiwan and the Mainland. They seem to live 30 years ago when Taiwan started rising in economic development and the Mainland began opening-up to the outside world, and people in Taiwan had a better living condition than in the Mainland. They clearly ignore the basic fact that the Mainland under Chairman Mao regime had built up a complete industry, agriculture, and defense system that was a solid foundation for the recent development in the post-Mao era that China has become the largest physical economy since 2010! They might always think that people in the Mainland could not afford a tea-roasted egg for breakfast as in the 1980s, but they never really understand that people in the Mainland had used the most resources to build up a powerful industry system on a ruined land suffered from over 100 years of wars since 1949.

Today, China has risen up and stands firmly in the eastern part of Asia, and proudly produces over 50% goods and materialized products with less than 20% of the world population. Today's China is able to make everything needed for people's life, and also to produce high-tech products including super-computers, high-speed rails, and Wu-14 missiles. Over 85% people in the Mainland own their private houses or apartments free of debts. Over 100 million people from the Mainland travel to other countries, and spent $5000 per person in 2014 on the tourism. The States and Canada offer 10-years visa for Chinese visitors from the Mainland, and many other nations follow the steps of the USA adopting the similar policies!

A deep cut and sever pain present in every Chinese heart stem from the Mainland and Taiwan are still in separate status, that  has lasted too long. It appears there is no hope to reunite the Mainland and Taiwan in the near future under the current political systems. Every Chinese does not want a civil war to complete such separate state, but where is the other option?
