It is a common sense to analyze the cost, benefit and sustainability before starting any project. Clearly there is no such thing done for 高鐵. Now after investing so much, the only question remained: how long can China sustain 高鐵 at what cost?

For the profitability of banks, if a bank can charge unfairly high fees from customers for very little services they provide, of course they can easily make lots of money. And that is an act of robbery, for having better words to describe it. That is why there are regulations for Wall Street in order to minimize the chance for them to rb American people. Same regulation and monitoring is needed for Bank of China as well. If Chinese government officials don't do that, there are only two interpretations, either they are NOT qualified to run the country or their very intention is to rob Chinese people and businesses.
