going there and running the show in Tibet and Xinjiang, and not trying to learn and integrated w/ the local culture. You said Tibetans are very nice, but their nice and innocence are being taken advantages of! How can Han Chinese do not respect their culture (learn, understand and respect it)? Is that fair? Is that discrimination?
Manchurians and Mongonians did that to Han Chinese. Europeans did that to Indians (and is being used again and again by anti-American crowd). I mean the discrimination and hegemony, not the exact degree (millions were killed by Manchurians and Mongonians, and Europeans). We have to be consistent, not against the discrimination when we are the victim (receiver), but for it when we are the giver (Many people support the tough policy against Tibetans and "Xinjiangness", consider them second class (backwards, bad, etc.), forgetting that those are their lands first.
Anyway, please do not take it out of context, I do NOT support their independence, but they should have more say and power on their land. Establish real Automonous Regions (currently it is a joke, not funny though) would reduce the tension.
