這是美國共和黨候選人在競選辯論中有關中國的部分。
作為剛從美國駐華大使任上離任的美國大使，洪博培應該是美國政府內最了解、也主導過美國政府的對華政策的美國政客之一。在這次辯論對華政策時洪博培的語言相當露骨。居然公開宣稱要利用美國政府在中國內部的內應、網民和年輕人搞垮中國，隻有這樣美國才能重振經濟，保住世界霸主地位。語言如此露骨，主持人都聽不下去了，幾次想打斷他的講話。這也讓很多中國網友理想起在所謂中國茉莉花運動時，洪博培曾經到現場指導，被網友認出後被迫狼狽離開的事件。

Major Garrett（主持人之一）: Governor Huntsman（競選人）, Governor Romney（競選人） just said we're in the middle of a war that's-- we're not even declared or we're not even aware of. And Governor Perry said China will end up on the ash heap of history. You've been in China. You were the ambassador for our nation there under President Obama. What's your reaction?
Jon Huntsman（洪博培，競選人）:
....... So what should we be doing? We should be reaching out to our allies and constituencies within China. They're called the young people. They're called the internet generation. There are 500 million internet users in China.
