回複：EVERY country has shortcomings and dark chapters of history.

Comparatively speaking, US is still one of the best countries in the world.  You love the world (so do I), but you still have to live in a country and you should not CHOOSE to live in a country that, in your words, hates the world so much.  It's not fair to you and your host (US).  It's just simply hypocritical and also you should not torture yourself everyday by living in such a terrible country.

I've read quite a bit of history of China, US and other countries, it's not a pretty picture.  It's getting much better in recent decades, and US plays a decisive role in the improvement.

By the way, I totally agree w/ you that US should cut down substaintially military spending and nuclear weapon arsenal.
