While China is the trinity of the land, the poeple and the state, any change in the constitution or form of government doesn't justify hatred or betrayal against this land and people.

For example, my grandfather's generation didn't like the authoritarian Republican government under generalissimo Kiang and dumped it 60 years ago, but they remained perfectly loyal to China. Today most Chinese people are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic, but it doesn't deprive anybody's right to celebrate the ROC a week later, as long as we're talking about the same land and people. My whole point is: there's no place for hate.
