圓明園十二生肖獸首噴水（複原圖）

　　圓明園獸首銅像，又稱圓明園十二生肖銅獸首、圓明園十二生肖人身獸首銅像。圓明園獸首銅像原為圓明園海晏堂外的噴泉的一部分，是清乾隆年間的紅銅鑄像。1860年英法聯軍火燒圓明園時開始流失海外，現僅有少量得以收回，因此已經成為圓明園海外流失文物的象征。

　　圓明園獸首銅像是清朝乾隆年間修建。圓明園獸首銅像由歐洲傳教士意大利人郎世寧(GiuseppeCastiglione，1688-1766)主持設計，法國人蔣友仁(R.Michel.Benoist，1715-1744)設計監修，清宮廷匠師製作。

　　海晏堂由正樓和後工字蓄水樓組成，是最大的一處歐式園林景觀。海晏堂正樓朝西，上下各十一間，樓門左右有疊落式噴水槽，階下為一大型噴水池，池左右呈"八"字形排列著我國十二生肖人身獸頭銅像。每晝夜十二個時辰，由十二生肖依次輪流噴水，俗稱"水力鍾"。

　　1860年，英法聯軍燒毀圓明園，圓明園十二生肖銅像自此流失海外，成為中國文物流失的一個縮影——鴉片戰爭後百餘年間，因戰爭、搶掠、盜鑿等流失海外的中國文物多達百萬件。

鼠首 為法國私人收藏家收藏。2009年2月25日被法國佳士得拍賣行拍賣。被中國商人競拍後遭拒付。

豬首 唯一以公益方式回歸的是豬首銅像。2003年初，中華搶救流失海外文物專項基金經過努力爭取，美國藏家同意將豬首轉讓給該基金。2003年9月，何鴻燊向該基金捐款600餘萬元將豬首銅像購回。其後轉贈保利集團，存放在北京保利藝術博物館予公眾觀賞。
