Shen Qing graduated from Beijing University of Agricultural Science and Technology. His hobby from childhood made him start composing music at an early age. In 1989, he wrote a song called "Loneliness is because of missing someone". Four years later, the song was composed and sung by Eric Moo and renamed "Miss Whom" and became popular. In 1992, Shen Qing had already created "Youth", which became a classic among campus folk songs at that time. Different from Lao Lang's specific lyrical intentions, Shen Qing's songs express the nostalgia and sadness for the passing youth. The joy of wandering and the bitter taste of homesickness were felt by the students after graduation, and they are still moved when they listen to it today.
