我對歌詞的理解：

Bridge:
 

"The bridge over troubled water is a metaphor (比喻） - the purpose of a bridge is to keep people from falling in the water. Crossing a lake or river during a storm (so when the water is “troubled”) is both difficult and dangerous. But when there’s a bridge, whatever’s below it doesn’t matter to the people crossing it because the bridge keeps them safe.
