反動歌曲“德克薩斯的黃玫瑰”

“德克薩斯的黃玫瑰”這首歌，不光是德克薩斯州人喜歡，美國人喜歡，許多別國人也愛聽。這別國人中也包括我。

 

這首歌在美國南北戰爭時期在南軍中很流行，於是成為反動歌曲。南軍戰士們唱著這首歌奔赴戰場，期望著勝利後返回家鄉，與心愛的姑娘重相聚，從此共建幸福生活永不分離。

1864年12月15日至16日納什維爾之戰，北軍在喬治-托馬斯少將率領下大破“田納西邦聯軍”。南軍大敗之後高唱此歌，聲勢悲壯感人，使其反動性更強。

“德克薩斯的黃玫瑰”並非出身反動。此歌創作於1834年至1836年間，“德克薩斯獨立戰爭”時期，內容與德克薩斯海防重鎮 Galveston 陷落後的一個傳說有關。許多對德克薩斯曆史有興趣的人會把此歌與 Galveston 這個地名聯係起來。
