Hidden player w/volume=0?

I scrambled to reach my volume control as the piano started thundering over my ears (I use phones). I know for aesthetic reasons, you prefer hidding the player. However, I still hope that you would reconsider and recommend not to hide the player, so that the volume control could be at hand when it were needed. Best regards.
