歌手簡介：

20世紀後期，樂壇的跨界風潮有了全新驚豔的歌聲響起，來自加州的男歌手Josh Groban以一副揉合了意大利歌劇與古典藝術氣質的嗓子升華了羅曼蒂克的境界，而他那帶有為生命詠歎的昂揚音色也在柔美、雅致的古典弦樂/鍵盤編曲的烘托下，讓浪漫情歌有了更加遼闊的聽覺空間，甚至多了一種為浪漫獻上最美麗的歌聲禮讚的味道。

99年的葛萊美獎典禮排練現場， Josh與天後Celine Dion合唱 "The Prayer" ，Josh的歌聲一出旋即引發全美傳媒熱烈回響，2000-2001年間，Josh受邀擔任跨界女伶Sarah Brightman的“La Luna月光女神巡回演唱會”暖場嘉賓，Josh的歌聲魅力再度席卷全場，2001年夏季，Josh與加拿大女歌手Lara Fabian攜手為電影《A.I.人工智能》合唱主題曲 "For Always" ；同年，Josh的知名度更因參與影集《艾莉的異想世界》的演出與演唱而沸騰到最高點，Josh在影集中飾演唱詩班男孩並在片尾高歌一曲 "You're Still You" ，影集播出後，Josh的人氣從電視銀光幕一路燃燒到因特網，Josh的專輯頓時成為全美樂迷最期待的作品！

2001年歲末， Josh的首張同名專輯《Josh Groban》一發行立即創造銷售狂潮，專輯攻占Billboard流行專輯榜第8位，同時連霸古典跨界榜與熱門潛力榜的雙冠王，專輯中的抒情單曲 "To Where You Are" 也一舉跳上抒情榜冠軍。由於當年發生了911恐怖攻擊事件，這首歌曲更撫慰了痛失至親好友的心靈。專輯《Josh Groban》累計在流行專輯榜上停留超過90個禮拜，全球超過500萬張的銷售也讓他成為2002年出道的男歌手中專輯銷售最佳的一位。2002年的 Billboard年終榜上，Josh跟他的首張專輯高居古典跨界藝人與古典跨界專輯年度總排名的冠軍。

2002年11月，Josh 在公共電視頻道PBS推出《PBS Great Performances》現場演唱電視特輯，根據此一電視特輯所發行的CD/DVD特輯《Josh Groban In Concert》跳登2002年全美長版音樂錄像帶銷售榜的年終總冠軍，同時也成了古典跨界榜的亞軍作品，專輯中出現了另一首抒情榜冠軍曲 "O Holy Night" 。Josh的歌唱實力也讓他先後成為2002年冬季奧運閉幕典禮、諾貝爾和平獎典禮的演唱貴賓。

2003年發行的第2張大碟《Closer》表現益發亮眼，專輯勇奪流行專輯榜冠軍，專輯中完美傳唱挪威樂團Secret Garden的 "You Raise Me Up" 再度衛冕抒情榜冠軍王座，Josh同時在專輯中與小提琴聖手Joshua Bell、法國跨界組合Deep Forest合作。2004年，Josh應邀為《特洛伊-木馬屠城》、《北極特快車》獻唱主題曲 "Remember" 、 "Believe" ，其中 "Believe" 再次搶下抒情榜冠軍。在2005年的葛萊美獎提名名單上，Josh更入圍了最佳流行男歌手項目。2004年的Billboard年終榜上，Josh 及《Closer》專輯再次高居古典跨界藝人與古典跨界專輯年度總排名的冠軍。
