I have both CDs, and converted them to MP3 as well, so sometimes I can listen to it in the office or on iPod.
Horowitz is my all time favorite, but Argerich is definitely my favorite among those alive ones. This Rach3 recording is considered one of the best, from performance and recording quality.
Milstein is not my favorite, but his accuracy and almost perfect technique (too bad people always compare him to Heifetz), are indeed very impressive.
Maybe it's because of my obsession of those dead ones, just there doesn't seem to be that many great artists comparing to 50's, 60's and 70's. Maybe that's also why Argerich is so special. Of course there are still some very good pianists, but there really aren't any great violinist left. What a shame.
Thanks for the good work.
