You alone can make my song take flight - help me make the music of the night . . . 在美國介入越南內戰最高峰的時期，有超過五十萬美軍進駐南方。由於當時越共遊擊隊采用地道戰對美軍作貼身攻擊，使到美軍傷亡慘重，每天有近千傷亡。聽說一時用來打包屍體的塑膠袋也告短缺。南越氣候炎熱，溫度平均33度C，加上濕度，感覺有38度以上。處理這麽多的屍體，很成問題。美國政府便在西貢新山一飛機場建造了一個龐大的屍體處理中心。這中心用高薪專雇用華人在裏麵工作。為什麽呢？因為當地華人對這場戰爭和政治不感興趣，而且不會把中心裏麵的傷亡數字泄露給美國傳媒。大部份華人都做清理屍體的工作，都是夜班的。據說美軍屍體在空運回夏威夷前，先被開膛剖腹，取去所有內髒，然後打包放入冷房，等機運回國。 我的街坊亞華，正當年輕力壯，看到華文報登載美國政府高薪招請”夜班醫務衛生”工作人員，一到應徵便被取綠。做了一段時間，朋友問他在裏邊做啥工作，他都吞吞吐吐地不想說。直到後來他突然患上了精神病，被解雇了，朋友才從他家人口裏知道事情: 一個月黑風高的晚上，亞華照常地推著一具斷了一腿，被榴彈炮炸了半個頭的黑人大兵屍體，等著入去殮房做開膛剖腹的處理工作。突然間那具屍體坐了起來，把站在旁邊的亞華牢牢抱住，死不肯放。嚇得亞華大聲叫喊和掙紮。後來要由幾個美軍醫務人員才能解開那屍體的”熊抱”。 之後，亞華便患上了精神病，終日自言自語。他的家人請了幾個道士，法師來家作法驅魔，都起不了作用。至於為什麼已被宣告死亡的屍體會突然坐起來，還把人牢 牢地抱著，據說是”迥光返照”的現象。 祝大家萬聖節快樂！ ty 2008/10/28 www.internet-artworks.com
