Kuku, my post was in fact inspired by Toronto pride parade (gay parade) today.
Starting from last friday, Toronto is celebrating Pride Week. Often, we pride ourselves on our achievements which may include our education, profession, our children, and our lifestyle but only recently, has it become socially acceptable to have pride in one’s sexual orientation. While events such as Pride Week are entertaining and light-hearted, their purpose is not just about a celebration of different gender and sexual orientations but also to encourage DIVERSITY, foster UNDERSTANDING and ACCEPTANCE. :))
