This poem used to be my favourite years ago when I was in college. I was then deeply touched by its tragic beauty reflected from every single word! Now, I read this poem again, I totally understand the heartbroken tree, her disappointment, her frustration and the fruitless efforts she made to attract attention from the man she adored.
