Avantasia是一支來自德國德國福爾達市的臨時金屬歌劇樂隊."Avantasia"是兩個詞的組合："Ava"來自"Avalon"（阿瓦隆，凱爾特族傳說中的西方樂土島,據說亞瑟王及其部下死後屍體被移往該島），"ntasia"則是取自"Fantasia"（幻想曲）。Avantasia是一個靈魂與精神的精靈世界，向往權力的羅馬教皇為了控製世人而不惜破壞Avantasia的世界，小修道士卻借助精靈和小矮人的力量從教皇手中奪回了開啟Avantasia世界的封印。
