Yes. I am learning how to play certain pieces with piano. I 50 years old holding two jobs. I don't have a teacher either. I simply repeatedly listen to the piece I decided to play next to my piano, figure out all the notes and rhythms. tirelessly play and play and then I could keep up with the real speed, and play together with my CD player. I started with something simple like "Butterfly Waltz" by Brian Crain, "A Simple Life" by Brian Crain and then "Through The Arbor" by Kevin Kern. If you are really interested in something, you will find time to do it and you may or may not succeed. But the process will keep you occupied and make you feel good about it.
