Bream & Ｗilliams 兩大師的經典吉他雙重奏

朱裏安·布裏姆（Julian Bream 1933- ）約翰·維廉斯（John Williams 1941- ）是當代兩位吉他大師。他們合出的雙重奏是最經典的演奏。

吉他的現代史很短，主要歸功於 Andrés Segovia (1893-1987, Spain) 大師的複興努力和他對樂器的改進。問題是吉他樂的演奏目錄很少，布裏姆和維廉斯除了在演奏和普及的同時，下了很大的功夫開發演奏目錄，包括改編鋼琴，小提琴曲子和鼓勵作曲家為吉他作曲。比如現在已成經典的 Villa-Lobos 《 Estudios 》和 William Walton 《 Five Bagatelles 》就是為他們作的。

布裏姆 不幸在 84 車禍，影響了他的演奏水平。維廉斯的影響很大，他為經典越戰片《Deer Hunter 》的錄音廣泛流傳（片斷５由此改編）。同時他對教學推廣不遺餘力。
