I have a few questions regarding opera:

1). Where and when were opera orginated?
In Italy?

2). Are all the opera sung in Italian?

3). Normally, how many acts in an opera?

4). How many years training does it take to become a professional opera singer? Although I still do not like to lisen to their singing,I know it is quite an accomplishment for singing opera on the stage.

P.S. I forgot to tell you that I like the introduction for 再見，我將去遠方 which can help me understand more. Act One aria for the heroine, "Ebben?...No andrò ;ontano," a haunting reverie on the theme of traveling alone and far from home.

I am sorry to hear that "Catalani lived such a short life. He was dead at the age of 39". Oh, really sad...
